Add AI employees to your team, and keep your people in charge
3M puts AI employees to work with your staff, whatever your line of business. We design each AI employee's job, connect it to your existing tools and run the team with you. Your people decide what comes first, check the results and approve anything important, and every step is logged for you to see. We start with one workflow and add more once it pays off.

Plenty of companies use AI. The workload hasn't moved.
Everyone has a login, yet the process is the same as before: each person asks, copies the answer into another system and checks it again.
No two people use it the same way. Results can't be repeated, and the workflow is no faster than before.
If no one checks what the AI produced, no one dares use it as is, and the work lands back on someone's desk.
The shortcuts and unwritten rules live with a few people. When they leave, the company starts from scratch.
Without a record or figures, nobody can say how many hours AI has saved, so the project quietly ends after the trial.
Where routine work piles up, add an AI employee
Choose a role that is swamped with repetitive work. An AI employee, set up and managed by 3M, takes that work on, and the person in charge on your side makes the calls that matter. Pricing is pay-as-you-go: you pay for the work actually done, with set-up, running and reporting included.
Order coordinator
- Gathers orders from marketplaces, Zalo, Facebook and email into one queue
- Checks stock and the price list before creating each order in your software
- Alerts the approver to any unusual order before the goods leave the warehouse
After-sales officer
- Replies to the questions customers keep asking
- Checks in as soon as a customer has received the goods
- Takes care of returns and warranty paperwork under your policy
Receivables accountant
- Chases invoices as they fall due, on the timetable you agree
- Ties each amount received to the invoice it settles
- Lists late payers at the end of each week and hands disputed amounts to the approver
Sales support assistant
- Researches prospects and scores them against your target segment
- Records every conversation in the CRM, so customer data stays fresh
- Prepares draft quotes under your pricing policy, plus an introductory email for new prospects
Purchasing assistant
- Keeps after suppliers until they confirm, then brings the purchase order up to date
- Checks tracking for every consignment, whatever the carrier
- Gives advance notice when a consignment may run late, while there is still time to react
Reporting assistant
- Collects weekly figures from your sales, stock and accounting software
- Fills in your usual report templates for the week and the month
- Adds notes on which lines rose, which fell, and why
Before day one, every AI employee has an approver you choose and a clear written brief; each month closes with an operating report. It replaces no one. It takes the routine part of the job, so the person already in the role has more time for work that needs experience.

At 3M, AI employees and our own staff work this way every day, and the same standards apply when we set it up for you.

Four parts in every rollout
Whatever the industry or workflow, we set up all four. Leave one out and AI slides back into being a question-and-answer tool; with all four in place, it carries real work.
One AI employee, one clear job
We brief every AI employee the way you would brief a new hire: what the role covers, which systems it can touch and who checks its work. When work comes in, it starts straight away and follows the job through.
How it rolls out: one workflow first, then the next
3M's own work runs on Practica, a platform we built in-house: one role per AI employee, a person approving what matters, a log entry for every step. AI Transformation is how we rebuild that set-up inside your business, whatever you do.

Tell-tale signs: the work comes round every day, follows rules, arrives in volume and keeps capable people from bigger things.
Retail & e-commerce
Pull orders from every marketplace and your web shop into one place, keep stock and prices in step, process returns and nudge suppliers before best-sellers run out.
Manufacturing & supply chain
Raise and track purchase orders, confirm delivery dates with suppliers, follow every shipment and raise a flag early when one is running late.
Sales & marketing
Research and score new leads, keep the CRM up to date, build quotes on your standard prices and pull campaign results together every week.
Customer care
Answer common questions on Zalo, Facebook and email, and log returns, warranty claims and bookings. An AI employee drafts the reply; your staff approve it before it goes out.
Professional services & projects
Prepare first drafts of proposals and contracts, track where each project stands, remind people to log their hours and put together progress notes for clients.
Finance & administration
Collect invoices, check payment requests, route them to the right approver and draft the monthly management report for a manager to check.
A chatbot for everyone, a one-off automation, or AI employees on your team?
The three routes most companies weigh up, side by side.
| Criteria | Everyone uses a chatbot | A one-off automation project | AI employees from 3M |
|---|---|---|---|
| What you get | Answers to one-off questions | A fixed sequence of steps | Complete tasks, done with your staff in your own software |
| When something is off | People improvise | It stops until the contractor fixes it | Routed to whoever should decide, with the facts attached |
| Who answers for it | No one in particular | The contractor, until the contract ends | Your own staff sign off on anything important |
| Know-how | Scattered across chat histories | Buried in code | Written into your playbooks, refreshed with each fix |
| Tracking results | Gut feeling | A report at sign-off | A step-by-step log and a monthly report |
| How you pay | Per user account | A project price, plus every change | Pay-as-you-go, with the review desk and reports included |
Why 3M
We work this way every day
3M's own work runs on this model, with AI employees and our staff in the same workflows. We have hit the snags ourselves and know what it takes for a new habit to last.
Control from day one
Anything that touches money, contracts or customers goes past a person first, and every step is logged. That is standard, not an extra you pay for.
Keep your software
AI employees work in your email, Zalo, spreadsheets, CRM, ERP or industry software, so your staff keep the systems they know and add just the review desk.
Pay only for work done
Set-up, day-to-day running and monthly reporting are all included in the usage-based price. It doesn't rise with the number of users, and there are no trials that drag on.
Prove it on one workflow, then widen
You don't need a company-wide plan. Point us to your most time-consuming workflow; 3M people start on it with your staff in week one, and the monthly figures show whether to widen, and where.
Choose your first workflow with us →Frequently asked questions
Is this just for accounting and HR?
No. Wherever work repeats and follows rules, AI employees can help: sales, customer care, logistics, marketing, project management, finance and more. Accounting and HR are only a small part of it. The first workflow is simply the one that takes up most of your team's time.
Will we have to change our software?
No. Your AI employees use your existing email, Zalo, spreadsheets, CRM, ERP or industry software. The one new thing for your staff is the review desk, where they order the work, check it and approve it.
What if an AI employee makes a mistake?
AI employees only act inside the scope we set. Anything outside it stops and waits for a person, and nothing involving money, a signature or someone outside the company goes ahead without approval. If an error still gets past, the log lets you retrace every step, and the fix is added to the playbooks, which teaches the AI employee to avoid it next time.
Who owns the playbooks and the data?
All of it is yours. The playbooks are tailored to your business and remain yours if we part ways. Your data is kept apart from every other client's, access depends on each person's role, and none of it is ever used to train AI models for other companies.
How do we measure whether it works?
At the end of every month you receive an operating report. It shows the hours each workflow saved, how often a person had to step in, how long jobs took and which departments use the AI employees, with our view on what to take on next. If nothing has improved, the report says so.
How is it priced?
It is pay-as-you-go: your monthly bill reflects the work your AI employees completed, and it already covers the review desk and the reports. There are no per-user licence fees. The survey has a separate quote, and you can stop there if you like.
Which task costs your team the most time?
Describe it in a few lines, from any department. Within 24 business hours we'll reply with a proposal for your first AI employees.
